Shame Sullivan!

If it is more than a rumour, if it is closer to the truth, I think it is a real shame. If Sullivan has breached Zola's contract by saying that Franco has breached the contract himself (and not paying him a penny) cause the Italian defended his own players and asked a question when Sullivan himself went out to the media and critisised the players openly - then it's not fun anymore. It is filthy oppression. It is acting like a former Eastern dictator, thinking he can do anything he wants with people.

Zola may not have reached any hights with his team, so this is not about finding a new manager or not, it's about how G&S acts. To humilate our servant Zola this way - if the rumours are true - is disgraceful.
It will not get us any new fans, it will not get us any energy, it will probably mean that players are looking elsewhere, it will not improve our team. The opposite. We can be seen as the gready basterds and maybe – if supporting our new owners doing things like this – we are. This is not the West Ham way, no way.

West Ham fans should act and refuse to buy any season tickets before this is reasonable solved. We still got the power.

At least to do something when we find out the truth in this matter.

Oh get real... We need all the money we can get at the moment to pay for better players than the shambles that is our current team. Zola wasn't good enough- end of... He;s been quite happy to sit there and take his money whilst he's been completely inept at managing the team. Why should Zola get a big payout for doing a shit job!!! Us ordinary people wouldn't get a payout for getting fired, so why should he...
Stop thinking about the 'nice guy' tag he has. I've got nothing against him as a person, but his managerial skills stink...

Absolute garbage, Zola was never good enough and if he was such a man of dignity,as he professes, he'd have walked away with it still intact. We were lucky that there were two teams that were awful and one that had a clueless CEO

This is not about if Zola was a nice guy or not, it is not even about Zola as manager (as we all know the results, and football of today hardly has patience).
It is about how you treat people, and if you insult them in front of everyone and then they are unable to answer (Zola just protected his plaers) that is dictatorship. If people can lie and get away with it just because they have money. I do not want our club to act like that.

I'm kind of divided here, OK Zola had a poor record, but there is only so much a manager can do with the players he has and the funds he is given.
I see it posted everywhere that the players all loved him, if thats the case why didnt they go out and play for him every week.
Could Fergusson have done better with the same players ?
I doubt it.

You are taking an absolute load of rubbish Zola as a manager has been a failure he deserved to get the sack and to talk about wealthy people lying is nonesense and indicates envy.

envy? So everytime the crooks or liers are rich we are just envious? Really dangerous thinking....

Zola seemed more than happy to sit tight and let S&G say what they wanted to. If it had been me I would have walked and spoke out about it all. I may love the club, but why would I want to work for people who are going to belittle me. But no, Zola chose to carry on taking the money and thats our beloved game now... It's all about the money!!!
There is no loyalty in the game now, that's why some teams keep changing their managers every season and people come and go on the boards of the clubs...

That's onte interpratation.
But: According to Carlton Cole Zola really wanted to continue the work he had started, he opposed G&S clearly a couple of times when they (Sullivan) really went out to the media instead of talking to him and/or the players. But he stayed to keep us in Premier League despite a numerous of difficulties. He was certainly a part of a team and the players really liked him. That's another interpretation.

That doesn't mean that Zola will be a marvelous manager already next season - or good enough - it does only mean that its getting harder and harder to like the new boys at the top. I hope they will learn from this case themselves, cause both players and a lot of fans will oppose to this.

He pushed and pushed Zola into a reaction like this over the course of a few months. Its basically entrapment. I'm so disgusted and gutted for Zola. I believe he will get there as a manager given a few years.

Zola wasn't a good manager for us, yes he kept us up BUT 3 England Internations and a host of other "good" players we shouldn´t have been so far down there.. Yes we can blame the players, as we should but ultimately its the manager who sets out the tactics and on MANY occasions they were AWFUL. Moyes and Hodgeson had a worse squad and look where they finished.
Zola should´ve gone himself instead of making them push him.
I also think S&G statement that eveyone´s for sale barring SP is utterly STUPID, STUPID and STUPID coz now we´re gonna have eveyone under the 'unsettling' the players and putting in bids here n there. Some of them I´d like to see the back of but others NOT.. Behrami, Noble, Faubert, Tomkins, Da Costa, Collison to name a few I think they didn't have such a bad season and I think with right manager we would be a force... Lets hope for the next man 'in charge' that its agood choice for ALL our sakes

COYI..... West 'am til I die!!!
