Scary rumours!

Even if Jason Burt may have lost his good relation to the topnotch of our club, by supporting Fernandes (which I did myself) and have lost some good information sources when Nani and Dux left, he may still be the best informed journalist in West Ham matters. So it is very worrying to read his article in todays the Telegraph which states that Behrami will be sold in the summer and Diamanti too.
We all know that Upson's and Green's futures in claret and blue may be in doubt as their contracts soon is ended and they both seem to leave for finishing a career with a top-four club (Upson) or abroad (Green). At least those rumours haven't been crushed by the players themselves. Or the Club. So this we know. But to lose Behrami and Diamanti would be a disastrous act, as it's not only as a declaration of war against Zola, but also against the fans. We all know about the financial situation - as Sullivan has repeated in the journals every day since he arrived – and we know that the club has to act. But by selling two of our most popular and important players would be against all sense. We do not have anyone else like Diamanti! Noone else can close down games with his free kicks! If he continues like this he will get the status of an Hammers icon.
Please, let this just be - as I suppose is the case with poor paid Collison - a part of the negotiating process. Otherwise Sullivan will have no friend's left. And as Joppe has speculated about here earlier, Zola will leave rather sooner than later.
I doubt anyone will renew their season tickets this summer if Burt's article is telling us the truth. We may have to clean our debts, but not by selling these players!

As with most of the telegraphs articles this will most likely be a load of rubbish. Behrami had a chance to go in this transfer window and we would have made at least 7 million profit so they would have sold him then. Diamanti will go nowhere as he is mad for west ham and unless we forced him would never happen. As with upson and green i think we could get a better player than upson who has had his head turned. With green if he is number one for world cup then we would receive a huge profit and i think joe lewis or joe hart could take his place in the next international trophy competition for around 5 million.

I hope you are right. But the main issue this spring is to stay in the PL. I think S&G wants to rebuild the team this summer, and also to reduce our debts. Which Burt's articla is all about. But for me it it the wrong signals to sell our most important players....

Can't belive the report is true. DS maybe used to playing these mindgames to broker a more favourable transfer or contract but to unsettle the team going into the Bolton game seems lunacy. This is surly just papertalk but South Africa may be the showplace for the likes of VB,RG, MU etc. to attract some serious offers. DS has already stated that the acadamy players will be playing a greater roll next season so Collison Tomkins Stanislas and others will need new contracts to retain their services for next season.I think that if premier league status is retained then DS will come to the negotiating table, not now, as we have learnt from the Ashton deal, act too quickly repent at leisure.

Sully will say that he did it to galvanise the team against himself if necessary for the benefit of his club.

We should listen to Sully or Goldo, because its their club to do what they will with

They are the only thing that is important, dont you know

Cliff, of course it is their club as they own it but it is also the fans club and if G&S act too much against the fans they will certainly be in deep trouble. Financially too.
But as I said we have to take these rumours with a pinch of salt as they are from a source that MAY not be as reliable as before.
